The Mic-Line ECM allows you to record from your ECM microphone onto your smartphone.
- Use a standard battery-less electret condenser mic (ECM) such as lavalier, PC, or headset mic, with your smartphone or tablet
- Not for use with mics that require batteries
- Works with most smartphones that have a combined headset and mic jack
- Works with two ECMs at a time, just use a splitter!

Plug the Mic-Line ECM into your device's headset jack*

Plug your microphone into the Mic-Line ECM (Green)

The iPhone will recognize that an external mic is connected and turn its internal mic off allowing you to record using the external microphone.
*You will need a lightning, USB-C, or USB adapter depending on your device. Please note: Apple brand lightning adapters DO NOT work on iPhones besides iPhone 12.

PLEASE NOTE: This adapter is NOT for mics that have batteries. Please see our "Dynamic Mic to Smartphone Adapter" adapter for this. Also, sound input for smartphone connections is mono. You are able to input stereo sound; however, only one side of the microphone will work.
